Some restaurants in Corfu sell expensive lobster pasta mainly for tourists. In several cases, the lobster is imported frozen and the final price can become extremely high. Visitors often expect a fully local seafood experience but end up paying luxury prices for imported products.

Not every seafood dish in tourist areas is truly local.
Better option: Ask for fresh fish of the day from local fishermen.
