🚗 How to Get from Corfu Airport to Barbati
Barbati is approximately 19–21 km from Corfu Airport. The drive normally takes around 35–50 minutes, depending on traffic through Gouvia and Ipsos. A taxi, private transfer, or rental car is the simplest option. The road becomes busier during July and August, especially in the morning and late afternoon.

💙 My Personal Tip About Barbati
Arrive early if you drive in July or August. Parking near the most popular entrances is limited, and turning on steep, narrow side roads becomes stressful when traffic builds.
Bring sea shoes and do not expect shallow sandy water. Barbati is excellent for swimming, but the pebbles and relatively quick depth are not ideal for every visitor. Before booking hillside accommodation, ask how many steps separate the room from the beach and main road. The sea may look directly below your balcony, while the actual walking route can be much longer.
My ideal visit is an early swim, a walk along the beach, a relaxed lunch near the water, and a scenic drive toward Pantokrator in the late afternoon.

Barbati evenings revolve around dinner, cocktails, and stylish beach venues. It is social but not a major late-night resort. Nissaki & Agni
Visit smaller pebble coves, attractive coastal scenery, and waterfront tavernas. These areas are quieter than Barbati and ideal for a relaxed drive or boat trip.
Kalami
Kalami has a beautiful horseshoe-shaped pebble bay and is associated with the Durrell family and the famous White House.
Kassiopi
Combine the harbour, castle ruins, shops, restaurants, and small clear-water coves. Kassiopi is also a good choice for an evening meal.
Mount Pantokrator
