1Huge Underground Parking Beneath Spianada Square
Parking is one of the biggest everyday problems in Corfu Town, particularly during the busy summer months. If money and engineering limitations were no object, one of our first major projects would be a huge multi-level underground parking complex beneath the Upper Spianada.
The surface of the square would remain virtually unchanged, protecting one of Corfu Town’s most important open spaces, while hundreds or potentially thousands of cars could disappear underground.
Several pedestrian exits could provide direct access to the Liston, the historic centre and surrounding streets. The result would be fewer cars endlessly searching for parking, less congestion and a much more enjoyable Corfu Town.
