Corfu is an excellent island for a slower holiday, but not every resort offers the same experience. Some are lively and busy, while others are much better suited to long beach days, good tavernas, easy walks and quiet evenings by the sea. If you are looking for the best resorts in Corfu for over-50s, the choice often comes down to what kind of beach you prefer, how much walking you want to do, whether you need practical services nearby, and how lively you want your evenings to be. Here are 10 Corfu resorts worth considering for a relaxed adult holiday.
9Roda – Best for Easy Beach Days & Flat Walking
Best for: sandy beaches, gentle swimming, easy walking and relaxed evenings.
Roda is one of the more straightforward choices for a relaxed Corfu holiday. It sits on the north coast and has a long beach, plenty of tavernas and a relatively flat layout.
The main advantage is convenience. You can stay close to the beach, walk to restaurants in the evening and spend much of the holiday without needing a car.
The beach is sandy with some shingle, and the water is generally shallow close to shore.
Roda evenings
Roda has enough bars and restaurants to make evenings enjoyable without being centred around large nightclubs. Dinner, a drink by the sea and a slow walk through the village are much more typical here.
It is also a useful base for exploring northern Corfu, including Kassiopi, Old Perithia, Mount Pantokrator and Sidari.
Local tip: Rooms directly above or beside busy bars can still be noisy during summer, so check the exact accommodation location.
