Ammoudi is a small, scenic beach on Crete’s south coast, a short drive from Plakias. The surrounding area has several coves, and some have a clothing-optional tradition; conditions and customary areas can differ, so observe signs and local practice rather than assuming the whole shore is naturist.
Access is easier by car, though the final approach may involve uneven ground. Bring water, shade and suitable footwear, and check whether nearby tavernas or beach facilities are open, particularly in autumn. The clear water is a draw, but the rocky shoreline makes water shoes a sensible extra.
