September and October usually bring more comfortable conditions for walking around archaeological sites, historic towns, castles and monasteries.
Places such as the Acropolis, Delphi, Ancient Olympia and archaeological sites across the Greek islands can become much more enjoyable when sightseeing doesn’t have to revolve around escaping the midday heat.
