8Driving Late at Night on Roads You Do Not Know
Try to avoid exploring unfamiliar parts of Corfu late at night, particularly mountain roads and small rural routes.
Many roads outside the main populated areas have limited street lighting or no lighting at all. Add narrow bends, parked vehicles, pedestrians, scooters and occasional animals, and a road that seemed easy during the day can feel completely different after dark.
If you want to visit a remote beach, mountain village or viewpoint, it is usually better to start early enough to complete most of the return journey before it becomes completely dark.
