Fridays and weekends can be particularly busy during July and August, although delays may occur on any day. Passengers should also consider the time needed to return a rental car, unload luggage and walk from the drop-off area.
How to improve the experience: Follow the airline’s instructions and consider arriving approximately 2.5 to 3 hours before an international departure during the busiest weeks. Do not arrange a ferry arrival from Paxos or Albania with only a small margin before your flight.
If you need a taxi to the airport, book it in advance rather than expecting to find one immediately during peak hours.
