15Unions Complained About Crew Access to Free Water
Reports from Spain and other European countries previously claimed that some cabin crew were not provided with free bottled water during work.
The more accurate version is not that employees were universally forbidden from bringing water onto the aircraft. Reports stated that crew members were expected to bring their own supplies and could otherwise be required to purchase bottled water from the onboard service.
Spanish labour authorities and several unions criticised this practice during disputes in 2021 and 2022. This is a historical labour controversy, not proof that the same arrangement operates across every Ryanair base today.
