Corfu is an excellent island for a slower holiday, but not every resort offers the same experience. Some are lively and busy, while others are much better suited to long beach days, good tavernas, easy walks and quiet evenings by the sea. If you are looking for the best resorts in Corfu for over-50s, the choice often comes down to what kind of beach you prefer, how much walking you want to do, whether you need practical services nearby, and how lively you want your evenings to be. Here are 10 Corfu resorts worth considering for a relaxed adult holiday.
10Kassiopi – Best for Harbour Evenings & Clear Water
Best for: couples, independent travellers, clear-water swimming, restaurants and a village atmosphere.
Kassiopi is one of the most attractive choices if you want a resort with a proper centre rather than a holiday area built entirely around one beach.
On the northeast coast of Corfu, Kassiopi has a small harbour, restaurants, cafés, shops and several beaches around the headland. The atmosphere is social and lively in summer, but it is not primarily a clubbing destination.
The beaches here are mostly pebbly rather than sandy. Bataria, Kanoni and Pipitos are known for their clear water, while Kalamionas is a more practical beach close to the village.
Why older travellers often like Kassiopi
You can spend the morning swimming, return to the village for lunch, walk around the harbour in the evening and have dinner without needing a car. The village also has supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and other useful services.
There are some slopes and steps, however, and parking can become difficult during July and August. If mobility is important, check the walking route from your accommodation to the harbour and beach before booking.
Local tip: If you are a light sleeper, do not choose accommodation simply because it is described as “central”. Ask whether the room faces a road, bar or restaurant.
