2Be Extremely Careful During the Hottest Hours
Avoid walking, sightseeing or sitting directly in the sun between approximately 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. During heatwaves, the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous conditions can continue until much later in the afternoon.
Plan visits to Corfu Town, viewpoints, villages and archaeological sites for early morning or after 6:00 pm.
Even outside the hottest hours, when temperatures are extremely high, try not to remain under direct sunlight for more than approximately 10 minutes at a time. Move regularly into the shade or an air-conditioned place and allow your body to cool down.
