Nymfaio is one of Greece’s most beautiful traditional mountain villages.
Built at approximately 1,350 metres above sea level, the village is surrounded by dense forests and impressive mountain scenery.
Stone houses, cobbled streets and a peaceful atmosphere make Nymfaio feel very different from Greece’s busy summer resorts.
Temperatures are generally much more comfortable, particularly during the evening.
Visitors may even appreciate having a light jacket when sitting outside late at night.
The nearby Arcturos wildlife sanctuary is another popular attraction in the area.
