6Major Road Bypasses at Skripero and Three Bridges
Some ideas on this list are primarily about creating new attractions. This one would solve a very real everyday problem for residents and visitors.
We would construct two major road bypass projects around Skripero and the Three Bridges area, removing large amounts of through traffic from some of Corfu’s busiest and most congested roads.
At Three Bridges, we imagine a much wider modern road combined with an elevated section allowing through traffic to bypass the busiest junctions completely.
Around Skripero, a new bypass could prevent northbound traffic from squeezing through the existing road network and village areas.
Better road connections could significantly improve travel between Corfu Town, northern Corfu, the airport and the island’s major resorts.
