Although Corfu is not a very large island, it contains enough villages, beaches, walking routes and viewpoints to reward repeated visits.
First-time visitors often concentrate on famous places such as Paleokastritsa, Kassiopi, Canal d’Amour and Corfu Town.
On later holidays, they begin exploring more slowly.
They may discover an inland village, a small taverna without a sea view, a walking path through olive groves or a quiet beach they had previously passed without noticing.
Boat trips also reveal parts of the coastline that cannot be fully appreciated from the road.
Regular visitors often say that after many years they are still discovering new places. Corfu remains familiar enough to feel comfortable but varied enough to avoid becoming boring.
