If Money Was No Object: The Projects We’d Build in Corfu

Corfu has plenty of individual shops, but relatively few large all-weather shopping and entertainment facilities.

If money and available land were not an issue, we would create a major modern shopping centre with international and Greek brands, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, children’s entertainment facilities and large underground parking areas.

Instead of building another enormous concrete box, the architecture could incorporate open-air sections, gardens, shaded courtyards, trees and Mediterranean design elements.

It could provide residents with more shopping choices throughout the year while also giving visitors somewhere to go during rainy days or exceptionally hot summer afternoons.
