9A Completely Upgraded Corfu General Hospital

Few investments would be more important for Corfu than creating a significantly larger and better-equipped general hospital.

We would expand the existing hospital with additional emergency departments, operating theatres, intensive-care facilities, specialist clinics, diagnostic equipment and substantially more medical staff.

A permanent rooftop helipad would allow emergency helicopters to transfer critically ill or injured patients quickly between Corfu and specialist hospitals elsewhere in Greece when necessary.

The emergency department would also have a much larger dedicated ambulance station, with enough vehicles and crews to serve Corfu Town as well as communities throughout the island.

For an island that welcomes large numbers of visitors every year in addition to its permanent population, a first-class modern hospital should be one of the most important infrastructure priorities.
