4Sinarades – Old Corfu Architecture Near the West Coast
Best for: traditional homes, local history, old streets and west-coast viewpoints.
Sinarades deserves a high position because traditional houses are not simply scattered around the village. They form much of its historic centre.
Walking through the narrow streets, you will see old two-storey houses, stone details, small balconies and traditional entrances.
The Folklore Museum is particularly interesting because it gives visitors an idea of how a traditional Corfiot home once looked inside.
Where does the name Sinarades come from?
Several theories exist. One older theory links it with Axinarades, while another associates the name with the Byzantine family surname Sinaras or Synaras.

Population: approximately 646 residents.
Location: central-west Corfu.
From Corfu Town: approximately 13 km.
Best for: traditional houses and an authentic village walk.
