We would create large strategic water reservoirs together with modern desalination facilities and a completely upgraded island-wide distribution network.
The system could store greater quantities of water when supply is plentiful and provide additional desalinated water during the busiest summer months, when tourism dramatically increases demand.
At the same time, old pipes could be replaced to reduce leakage and modern technology could monitor consumption and identify problems across the network.
It probably would not appear on many postcards, but reliable clean water would be one of the most valuable investments Corfu could ever make.
